Mr. Delgado serves as Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer of Iberdrola Group. In his current role, he oversees Iberdrola’s functional excellence in the transformation into a clean and digital utility, in a context of increasing smart grids, smart meters and new smart solutions and cleaner energy generator.
Besides, Mr. Delgado is responsible for the venture capital program in IBERDROLA (PERSEO), and oversees the activities of Iberdrola Innovation Middle East, based on Qatar. He is also responsible for the relationship and collaboration programs between Iberdrola and prestigious universities worldwide.
He holds an MSC in Industrial Engineering from the ICAI School of Engineering of Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid and a PhD in Industrial Engineering; he has also completed the School of Management Program by IESE and the Global Leadership Program at IMD. Mr. Delgado is currently member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council for Advanced Energy Technologies; he is also member of the Advisory Board of NEOTEC (Spanish Investment Program and Venture Capital) and in the Low Carbon Energy Center for Electric Power Systems at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
