  • Do you have a passion for nature conservation and planetary action?
  • Are you interested in learning more about biodiversity and Sustainable Development while actively participating in a globally recognised Forum?
  • Can you speak English and French, or another language like Spanish?
  • Are you living in Geneva or nearby?

If YES to all of the above, apply to join our team of volunteers at the IUCN Leaders Forum 2024 taking place in Geneva from 8 to 10 October 2024.

 

What will you do? 
 

  • Welcome guests, participants and answer their questions.
  • Scan and check participant badges at the session entrances. 
  • Attend and create summary reports of Forum sessions.
  • Support the live streaming platform for virtual participants.

Eligibility 

 

To apply, volunteers must: 

  • Be 18 years old or older.
  • Be available for at least two half-day shifts during the conference.
  • Be available on October 2nd at 15:00 for a one-hour introductory meeting.
  • Be able to get to the Forum Venue in Geneva (Palexpo) by your own means.

 

Selection process 

 

TIMELINE

  1. Applications are now open.
  2. We have extended the deadline to September 16th, 2024.
  3. Starting September 17th, 2024, successful applicants will be contacted by the IUCN Global Convenings and Events team.
  4. October 2nd, 15:00-16:00- Volunteers prep and training: online session.
  5. October 7th, 16:30 – 18:00 - Walkthrough the venue. 
  6. 8-10 October – IUCN Leaders Forum 2024.

As part of the application process, you will be asked to detail your availability and activity preferences.  This information will help the Forum team schedule volunteers for the role that best suits your indicated preferences and skills. 

 The Forum team will review all applications on a first-come, first-served basis and send a confirmation email to those accepted as of 17 September. Therefore, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.   

DISCLAIMER: Please note that only applicants living in Geneva or in the surroundings areas of Geneva will be accepted. Applications received via email will not be reviewed.
