Sophie is an expert partner in green capital markets and sustainable development at Boston Consulting Group, a core member of the Climate and Sustainability practice at the firm and global lead on green financial instruments and debt financing. She has 15 years of experience working on climate finance and sustainable investment initiatives with think tanks, international development agencies, and financial institutions in North and South America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Prior to joining BCG, Sophie was a director on the sustainable finance team at TD Securities, served on the Advisory Council to the ICMA Green and Social Bond Principles, wrote climate science-based second opinions for green bonds and researched physical climate risk for investors as a senior climate finance adviser while at the Center for International Climate Research in Oslo (CICERO), and helped United Nations Development Programme beneficiary country governments access the Green Climate Fund. She holds a master’s of science in sustainability management from Columbia University.
