Biography

Ms. Drake is an experienced policy advisor and holds a Bachelor’s in political science, a Master’s degree in public policy and a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Ms. Drake, who began her career as a high school economic and world history teacher, was most recently the Deputy Director of the National Economic Council and top labour advisor to President Joseph R. Biden.

Prior to that, she served as President Biden’s rst- ever Made in America Director, building the oce as a start-up agency within the Oce of Management and Budget. In her work for President Biden, she has focused on implementing the President’s infrastructure and clean energy investments, including by ensuring public and private collaboration to promote high quality workforce training, including Registered

Apprenticeships, and decent work in the manufacturing, clean energy, and construction sectors.

She previously led government aairs work at the Directors' Guild of America and spent several years as the Trade and Globalization Policy Specialist at the AFL-CIO, advocating for policy reforms to better promote inclusive growth and shared prosperity for workers through trade. In the latter role, Ms. Drake worked extensively with government, trade unions, and employer representatives from States involved in negotiations for the Trans-Pacic Partnership and the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership.

Ms. Drake is also a veteran of Capitol Hill, where she worked for U.S. Representatives Linda Sánchez (California) and Lloyd Doggett (Texas), specializing in labour, trade, education and health policies.
