Global Head of Sustainability
Givaudan
Hal began his career with Pechiney and Rio-Tinto-Alcan in the metals and mining business working in production, operational excellence, engineering and EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) roles in France, South Africa, Australia and Switzerland. In 2010 Hal joined Givaudan headquarters in Geneva as global safety lead. He subsequently took on roles of increasing responsibility in the area of EHS and was appointed Head of Corporate EHS in 2015. In 2019 he was appointed Global head of Sustainability, and is now in charge of company sustainability programs covering environmental action (climate, water, waste, plastics), Responsible Sourcing, Social responsibility, sustainability reporting &
communications and B-Corp certification. Hal holds an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France and a Master’s degree in fluid mechanics.
