Nasim Farahani Zayas

Nasim Farahani Zayas is a Programme Officer at the IUCN Academy, where she develops and delivers educational programmes, collaborates with partner universities, and supports capacity-building initiatives across IUCN Centres. With a background in biology, she holds a Master’s in Biotechnology from Wageningen University and a PhD in Molecular Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne. During her doctoral studies, Nasim discovered a passion for education and knowledge dissemination, which led her to focus on advancing conservation through impactful learning. She is dedicated to empowering professionals with the skills needed to drive sustainability and nature conservation efforts globally.
