Biography
Magda Zachara is a dedicated educator and advocate for nature conservation, with a strong academic background. She holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Geneva and a PhD from EPFL, Lausanne. After a successful academic career, where she mentored students and taught biological sciences, Magda shifted her focus to environmental sustainability. As part of the IUCN Academy, she is involved in developing and delivering educational programmes, collaborating with partner universities, and supporting capacity-building projects across IUCN Centres. With a passion for innovative learning, Magda is committed to using education to drive positive change for the environment.
