Elena Martinez

Elena is an Oceanographer with two master’s in Applied Blue Biotechnology and serves as the CTO of SOS Biotech, a BlueTech company dedicated to unlocking the potential of marine resources, particularly invasive seaweed, to create sustainable and innovative products while empowering coastal communities. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Biotechnology and Biomedicine, with research grounded in her work. Elena’s expertise lies on the Blue Economy, Sustainability, and Climate Action. Her commitment is to achieving a future where the ocean’s potential and resources are managed wisely, driving both innovation, environmental stewardship and sustainable value-add products with global scale.
