To encourage the broadest participation in the IUCN Leaders Forum 2024, we have adjusted this year’s registration fees to make the Forum as accessible as possible.

Registration fees are based on your country of residence, with lower registration fees for participants living in low-, lower-middle and upper-middle income countries (LMIC) as per the World Bank classification.

Mandatory carbon offset contribution

IUCN is dedicated to leading by example and strives to organise sustainable events. As we are aiming to achieve net zero emissions at this year’s Forum, in addition to the registration fee, all participants, in-person and virtual, are required to make a mandatory contribution to offset their carbon emissions.

Please find more information about our sustainability efforts here

For in-person participants

IUCN will estimate the total carbon emissions linked to your participation including your transportation to Geneva. During registration, you will be requested to donate your contribution to one of the projects certified by renowned international bodies like UNFCCC, Gold Standard, or Verified Carbon Standard. Based on your project selection, your carbon offset fee will be calculated and added to your registration fee.

For virtual participants

A 1 Euro flat fee will be charged on top of registration. During registration, you will be requested to donate your contribution to a UNFCCC, Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard certified climate-friendly project.
