Xueman Wang

Xueman Wang, Senior urban specialist and program manager for the World Bank’s Global Platform for Sustainable Cities (GPSC). She undertakes the World Bank’s urban programs in Europe and Central Asia as well as in China. She spearheads the work on urban nature and urban biodiversity at the World Bank and leads the reports on “Urban Nature and Biodiversity for Cities”, “Natural Asset and Biodiversity Valuation in Cities” and “Piloting Nature-based Solutions for Urban Cooling”. She was a team leader for the World Bank’s Partnership for Market Readiness and was one of the lead authors of the World Bank flagship - World Development Report: “Development and Climate Change.” Before joining the World Bank, she worked with the Climate Change Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biodiversity in Montreal, Canada.
