Patricia Danzi

H.E. Ambassador Patricia Danzi is since May 2020 Director-General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Prior to her engagement with SDC, she has been working for 23 years for the International Committee of the Red Cross in the field and at the Headquarter, last as Regional Director for Africa. Patricia Danzi studied in Lincoln, Nebraska and in Zurich and holds a master’s degree in agricultural economics, geography and environmental science. She undertook postgraduate work in development studies in Geneva. She speaks seven languages and is the mother of two adult sons.
