Biography

Indigenous leader of the Ashéninka people of the province of Atalaya, Ucayali region in Peru. Since she was young, she has been involved in the service to her people, from her role as a leader and from her profession as a nursing technician, currently with a degree in social work. She has been part of the board of directors of the Regional Indigenous Organization of Atalaya (OIRA) and, as director of the Women's Area, she worked for the strengthening of the indigenous women leaders of Atalaya. Later, she was a board member of the Regional Coordinator of Indigenous Peoples Atalaya (CORPIAA). She was also part of the board of directors of the Coordinadora Indígena de la Cuenca Amazónica (COICA), where she was in charge of the Coordination of Education, Science and Technology.
