Ramiro Batzín

Ramiro Batzín Chojoj (Maya Kaqchikel) is the Executive Director of the Sotz'il Association and Coordinator of the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIFB).  Additionally, he has the following roles: 
- Advisor and Vice President of IUCN 
- Member of the National Council on Climate Change in Guatemala
- Coordinator of the Indigenous Roundtable on Climate Change in Guatemala
- Indigenous expert on climate change adaptation and mitigation with indigenous peoples, natural resources, biodiversity, forests, communal lands, protected areas, traditional knowledge, risk management, full and effective participation, consultation and free, prior and informed consent.
