Odile Conchou

Odile Conchou is currently Deputy Director of the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People. She was previously Senior Advisor on Finance and Biodiversity at the French Agency of Development (AFD) and TNFD's Development Finance Network Lead. She previously worked at the Secretariat of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity as Financial Sector Lead.

She has over 30 years' experience in the environment and biodiversity sector. She began her career in ecological and agronomic research institutes in France and Germany. She worked as an environmental engineer in an agro-industrial union, became General Secretary of the French Association of Ecology Professionals, and then a consultant in sustainable development. She joined the French Agency of Development in 2006, where she held various positions, notably Head of the Environment, Social, Governance and Impact Department at PROPARCO (AFD's private sector branch). She holds a PhD in ecology.
