Biography

Mohlago Flora Mokgohloa has 30 years of experience in the public sector, more than 20 years of which has been at senior management level in the fields of biodiversity and c onservation and climate change. Mohlago has a global experience in multilateral environmental agreements and has been a focal point and now leads focal points and negotiations in various biodiversity related multilateral environmental agreements. As a senior management in the public sector, she leads and manages overall policy and legislation development in South Africa with a team of over 340 people with a budget of approximate ly USD 105 m. Further to this, she coordinates oversight on the work of public entities, which includes South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), South African National Parks (SANParks), and ISimangaliso Wetland Park Authority
(ISWPA). Mahlago also serve s on the Board of SANParks as shareholder representative , Southern African Wildlife College ( SA W C) as a government representative and African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) as a trustee in behalf of the Government of South Africa.
