Biography

Amanda Magalhães holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and serves as the Knowledge and Technology Manager at Climate Ventures, a leading Brazilian NGO orchestrating the country’s climate innovation ecosystem. In this role, she leads the Green Wave Platform, a digital tool connecting over 1,000 organizations in the green economy, which also serves as the official low-carbon solutions database for the UN Global Compact's Environmental Movements in Brazil. Additionally, Amanda drives a series of publications offering in-depth insights into Brazil's green economy landscape.

A passionate advocate for technology, Amanda writes monthly articles on sustainability and innovation for specialized blogs and curates a weekly newsletter, Climate Tech Highlights, focused on advancements and opportunities in the Climate Tech sector. Her previous leadership in impact-driven startups, such as Oslo Investe and Banco Maré, earned her a nomination for the "Women Who Transform" award by XP Inc. in the Finance Innovation category in 2021.
