BNP Paribas joins IUCN Leaders Forum 2024 as Associate Partner

BNP PARIBAS

BNP Paribas is proud to be a partner to the IUCN Leaders Forum for the second year in a row. The funding provided to IUCN through this partnership will help take the IUCN Leaders Forum – a unique convening platform for business, government, and civil society leadership to come together to devise the urgent solutions needed to address biodiversity loss and climate change – to the next level.

BNP Paribas shares common goals with IUCN through their commitment to nature conservation and sustainable development and is focused on financing the transition to a net zero economy in a socially inclusive way. At the third edition of the IUCN Leaders Forum, which will take place in Geneva, Switzerland on October 8-10, 2024, BNP Paribas funding will contribute towards supporting the participation of young Changemakers and Indigenous Peoples Organisations from around the world.

The IUCN Leaders Forum 2024 will provide an opportunity for BNP Paribas to exchange and share best practices with conservation leadership from multiple sectors, and IUCN’s vast networks of members and volunteers. Mr. Antoine Sire – set to become Advisor for Impact Economy and Social Inclusion on July 1st, 2024, with Anne Pointet succeeding him  as Head of Company Engagement and Member of the Executive Board of BNP Paribas Group –, who will attend the Forum as a speaker for the second time, says: “I am delighted to speak again at the IUCN Leaders Forum 2024. For the financial sector in general, and BNP Paribas in particular, this event is an excellent knowledge-sharing and discussion platform to highlight the role that finance can play in nature conservation and in delivering innovative nature-based solutions at the national and global levels. I very much look forward to participating in the multi-stakeholder sessions the Forum offers.”
